Went out hunting with a pal of mine on Sunday, when his female Harris (the sister to My male btw) thought my lad looked like a good and tasty meal. He is now looking very sorry with himself, she had stuck 2 claws though his lower mandible, and gone right through into the inside of his mouth, and one just below his eye, I think the claw actually went into the eye socket, but I don't think it damaged the eye. He is now on the antibiotics, got his first dose into him about 5 hours after the incident, and seems to be doing well. That'll cut out my flying for the next few weeks...Hope everyone else is having a better season. Owen
Been flying this years male Harris with my mates Female, was having a good day until the female missed a cock pheasant. She went up in a tree, got her bearings and decided to nail my bird. She grabbed him by the chest, hit the deck and by the time we reached them she was giving him a chest massage!!! I thaught my male was a gonner but once we separated them my bird fed off the fist and didn't have a scratch. These birds have been flown together on numerous occasions without a problem but I'm a bit reluctant to fly them together again, maybe if we block them out together for a few days first? Any advise?
