hi penny

you can tell by looking at the birds feet if its good bumble foot,if you catch it very early it can be treated and may never come back but if it is more advanced it will have to be treated by a vet and may always be a problem.

let me know if you want to know what to look for.

hi chris, thanks for the reply my brother in law is going to have a look at him for me. The bloke who is selling him is a friend of my brother in laws, and has said the bumble foot has been treated and has now gone. We lost our male pererine yesterday and need to find one asap as i now have a pinning female. This seems the only one avalible of breeding age that we can find, if you know of any please advise.

kind regards penny

hi penny i would find out how bad the bumble foot was because like i said unless it was cought very early it can only be treated, and will nearly always come back, and if you are going to use this bird for breeding then i would not buy it,because in a breeding chamber you will not get the chance to look at his feet on a daily basses,if it was going to be flown then you can have a good look each day and keep his feet clean.at the end of the day its your choice its only my advice,as for birds for sale i have seen a male 3/4peregrine1/4barbury proven bird 10 yo£250 on the ibr web site.

good luck and if i can help with anything else.

if it was two years ago then go for it,if he was going to have problems it would have come back by now, just keep your eye on him.
