Can anybody tell me how long you put your birds down to moult ,i put my bird down for the first time maybe to soon but he has droped quite a few feathers allready any advise is welcome. Ive been chucking food in ie 3 doc and a mouse a day and he seems to stuff it down .I live in worcester park in surrey anyone local to me?
I find sun light and good food helps good moult (thats what they get in the wild in summer) along with clean and fresh mews. They need good mix of diat, not just DOC and mice. I find chicken neck cruched with hammer a good sourch of bone. Keep it manned through the moult helps.
