ive got a male harris born in may 2003 he flys free ,he has allways been about 1lb 8oz he could respond better when out flying but when i try to drop his weight down he lands on the bag or my shoulder so whats the answer to that one any advise wellcome.
1:8 seems quite heavy to me, although I'm sure some people fly males at that weight. I dont really feel mine is hunting, really looking for quarry over 1:7 and I would not class him as a small bird. I would drop to 1:7 slowly and persevere, see if you can deter him from landing on you in some way, if you see him comming toward you when you have not called him just offer the glove as an easier landing!.
