Ive got a 8+6 apex shed as shelter with a flight of 17 foot by 6.6 foot high and 7 foot wide ive put some high perches in one of these has a tube heater fixed to it on a timer which i use when its very cold theres a  layer of sand on the floor and gravel on the flight can you think of anything ive missed theres a brick built bath coming soon

Ive never done things by halfs Gary, when they say flying season what months do they mean ,someone told me you can fly a harris all year round is this a load of crap?

Although techincally you COULD try and fly your bird all year, I wouldn't do it personally.


You have to be VERY carefull when the bird does eventually go into moult, and you stand a very good chance of them producing pinched (underdeveloped) feathers.


It is a real pain having your bird out of action for 3 months while they moult, but it is best all round.


I Do not know anyone personally who attempts to fly a bird all year round.
