Hi all,
I noticed in my Harris' mouth over the weekend that his tongue is covered with yellowy-white substance. I have taken him to a local vet but he is not an avian specialist and he is goig on antibiotics this afternoon.

If it is frounce, I'm baffled as to how he's got it. He has never had pigeon, the only wild or caught meat he has had is pheasant, partridge and rabbit. I regularly dose him with Panacur for worm 3 or 4 times a year.
Any suggestions.

I would get him reffered to an Avian vet if i were you, it could also be a sign of Aspergillosis, better safe than sorry!

Good luck

Hi all,
sorry for the delay but I am in the middle of a course of chemo.(I have a tumour in the back of my mouth).
He seems to be Ok on the anibiotics and hopefully over the next 2 weeks I will be able to get him checked out properly by Alan jones, who is a top avian vet.
thanks again.
Clive
