What about having a barn owl as your first bird ? Im thinking of getting a barn owl before a harris so i could get use to feed and training a bird that wont cost as much is this a good idea or bad i think as well with a barn owl my 7 year old son good learn with me and not feel as intimidated by a barn owl ? yours faithfully Johnny ashton
Nice Birds, but they'll teach you next to nowt about training a fresh Harris. Read plenty, join a decent club and ask loads of questions. If you're going to hook up with Rob it will be ideal. Dont forget, if you buy a Barn Owl and later decide to get a Harris this means 2 Lots of housing and double the work.
