i used welded mesh last year and my male harris is a bit skatty coz i never flew him last year coz when i got him is tail was a mess, plus it was getting the time to train him as well as my female harris and my saker, anyway he kept hanging upside down om the weldmesh and kept damaging his cere, and im not gonna let him do that again. so i need something a bit softer

You take several risks if you just use netting. Foxes and general damage are 2 and then there is the possibility of total collapse if you happen to get a heavy build up of snow.

Two things - were you using weldmesh or wire netting last year. 1.5" to 2" weldmesh with 2-3mm steel rods doesn't do so much damage as wire netting.

If you need to use netting it should be hung below weldmesh or strong wire netting and they should be on a good cross beam supports. leave 6 to 12" gap.

Good luck

Andy
