ive got a male harris born in may 2003 he flys free ,he has allways been about 1lb 8oz he could respond better when out flying but when i try to drop his weight down he lands on the bag or my shoulder so whats the answer to that one any advise wellcome.

were i live in glamis in scotland there is a huge range of differant rapptors which can be seen almost everyday.But non more so than the peregrine falcon on days you see 2 or more of these birds flying around dive bombing each other or hunting.But there is one bird which totaly dwarfs the rest of the birds...

A good beginner's bird

For a long time now I’ve thought about getting a bird. I’ve bought some falconry books and videos but out of the 3 birds recommended the Buzzard, Red tailed buzzard and the Harris hawk I don’t know which one would be the most appropriate for a beginner please could you help me.
